What happens in a Casting Director workshop?
Our workshops at The Industry Alliance provide seasoned actors a chance to perform in front of the gate keepers of film and television - Casting Directors and Agents! We keep each workshop intimate, with no more than 20 actors in participation. During most workshops, a reputable Casting Director will either pair the actors or read one-on-one with the actors to conduct cold readings and scene study. Then they will offer redirection to gauge whether an actor can take this redirect effectively. Finally, there will be discussion of proper audition techniques and industry insider tips. Many of our actors have booked jobs from these CD workshops. Therefore they prove to be a great way for an actor, particularly one with no representation or union affiliation, to be seen by these casting directors from a major prime time show or independent feature and to be seriously considered. Join the Industry Alliance and get your screen career jump-started!
About Us..

Jenny Phagan and Lori Dean Vincent were Managing Directors of The Troupe, which was a company of 80 very talented actors, directors, and producers. The Troupe performed at the Hayworth Theatre on Wilshire Boulevard. During the glory days of The Troupe, Jenny and Lori worked along side celebrated casting directors and acting coaches, including Jeremy Gordon CSA, Annie Wood, and Jim Gleason. Now they've brought their experience cultivating talent to The Industry Alliance. Many of The Troupe's talented actors participate in workshops with The IA. Notable Casting Directors often work exclusively with the Alliance because of the talent level.
